Director of Research and Economics , McKinsey
Tera is Director of Research and Economics in McKinsey’s United Kingdom and Ireland Office, working closely with the McKinsey Global Institute. She leads McKinsey’s research on productivity, technology adoption, and government effectiveness, bringing together deep expertise and more than two decades of experience in economics, public policy, innovation, technology, and leadership, as well as ten years of experience as a management consultant focusing on corporate and business-unit strategy. Tera is a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences and a frequent author, panellist and speaker on topics ranging from economic and innovation policy to technology adoption and the future of work. She serves as a trustee of the Royal Economic Society, the National Institute of Economic and Social Research, and the United Kingdom’s Productivity Leadership Group. She is also a member of a number of expert advisory groups on economic policy and innovation issues. She was previously on the board of Innovate UK, the United Kingdom’s national innovation agency, and a member of the States of Jersey Fiscal Policy Panel. In 2018, Tera was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) for services to economic policy.
Professor of Climate Change Economics and Policy, University of Oxford
Sam Fankhauser is Professor of Climate Change Economics and Policy at the University of Oxford. Prior to this, Sam was Director of the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change at the London School of Economics, where he remains a Visiting Professor. Outside academia, Sam has served as a Non-Executive Director of CDC Group, the UK’s development finance institution, and as an inaugural member of the UK Committee on Climate Change. He is also an Associate Director at economics consultancy Vivid Economics.
Global Investment Solutions, Lyxor
Rudyard Ekindi is a director in the Global Investment Solutions team at Lyxor Asset Management, which he joined in 2017. Previously he was responsible for equities investment solutions at Unigestion from 2015 to 2016. Ekindi began his career as an actuarial consultant at JWA Actuaires, before joining the interest rate markets team at JP Morgan. Prior to that, he spent 10 years in various roles at Credit Suisse Asset Management, first in Paris, then London. Ekindi was also investment director at UK pension fund, NEST, responsible for asset allocation, risk management and manager selection from 2009 to 2013. He holds an engineering degree from the Ecole des Mines de Saint-Etienne and a master’s in financial science and insurance form the University of Lyon.

Patrick Saner is Head Macro Strategy at the Swiss Re Institute. In this role, he covers global macroeconomic, interest rates and political developments and shapes the interest rates and economic forecasts for the Group. He also represents Swiss Re in external forums, incl. IIF, WEF, OECD, FSB, etc.
Group Chief Investment Officer, Phoenix Group
Mike is currently the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) for Phoenix Group, the UK’s largest long-term savings and retirement provider with over £330bn of Assets under Administration, on behalf of over 14 million policyholders. In his current role, Mike is a member of the Group Executive Committee, reporting into the Group CEO, Andy Briggs. In addition, Mike is an Executive Director of underlying Life Company Boards.Mike is responsible for leading all of the investment functions within the Phoenix Group, but with particular focus on (i) Illiquid Asset origination for Phoenix Bulk Purchase Annuity business, (ii) developing a leading capability for Sustainable Investments and (c) developing a best in class investment operating framework. Mike has eight direct reports, with over 150 professionals making up Phoenix Asset Management.

Marcello Estevão is the Global Director of the World Bank Group’s Macroeconomics, Trade and Investment Global Practice (MTI). In this position, Mr. Estevão leads a large team of country economists, macroeconomists, and fiscal policy, debt, and macro-modeling experts. He is responsible for overseeing the delivery of the global analytical work on fiscal policy, debt policy, macroeconomics, and economic growth; for coordinating the strategic direction of MTI and implementing it; for helping to shape and oversee MTI’s country/regional programs; and for mobilizing staff to work more effectively across Equitable Growth, Finance and Institutions (EFI) and other Global Practices. Mr. Estevão is Brazilian, holds a PhD in Economics from MIT, Cambridge, MA, and has published extensively in refereed journals, books, policy reports, and the print media.

Jess is Senior Risk manager of NewRe, a Swiss reinsurer part of Munich Re Group, where her key focus area lies in the risk management of investments and weather derivatives. Prior to this, Jess held a number of positions within Swiss Re Group and also worked for the Isle of Man insurance regulator helping to create their new economic-based solvency regime.

Huayin Liu is the Chief Investment Officer of UNA Seguros, a Portugal based insurance group. Before joining UNA, Huayin is a Portfolio Manager at Reinsurance Group of America (RGA), responsible for managing RGA’s assets in the EMEA region across five difference currencies: GBP, Euro, USD, SGD and South African Rand. Huayin started his career working in various roles in both ALM and Investment Manager Research departments at Redington, advising UK Pension Schemes and Insurance Companies on asset allocation, manager selection and hedging strategies. Huayin is a qualified actuary and a CFA charterholder.

Gilles Dauphiné joined Amundi in 2019 as Head of Euro Alpha Fixed Income and has since taken the responsibility of the Insurance and Credit business line in the Fixed Income department. He previously spent 18 years in various roles at AXA IM, most recently Global Head of Buy & Maintain covering AXA and then non-AXA clients since 2015. Before that, he held several roles in the Solutions & Pension space as Head of UK LDI, Head of Pensions & insurance Solutions. He started his career in asset management at Axa IM in 2001 on the Structuring side covering fund structuring and ETF business. Gilles holds a Master in Engineering from ENSEIRB and a Master degree from ESCP.

Erik Vynckier is board member and Senior Independent Director of Foresters Friendly Society and chair of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (Research and Thought Leadership Board), following a career in investment banking, insurance, asset management and the petrochemical industry. He co-founded EU initiatives on high performance computing and big data in finance and co-authored “High-Performance Computing in Finance” and “Tercentenary Essays on the Philosophy and Science of Leibniz”. Erik graduated as MBA at London Business School and as chemical engineer at Universiteit Gent.

Ed Collinge is Global Head of Insurance Strategy at Robeco. He works with client and product teams around the world to meet the specific needs of the insurance segment. Before he joined Robeco in 2018, Ed led the European insurance team of Invesco in London. Prior to this, he was responsible for insurance coverage of the UK, Ireland, Nordics and South Africa at JP Morgan. Other previous roles include Head of Capital Management, Annuities at Legal & General, and a Director in the Insurance Capital Markets team at Lehman Brothers. He started his career in 1999. Bob is a risk and investment specialist with most of his 30+ years of experience gained in the leading Investment Banks running market strategy and insurance solutions teams. He joined LGIM in 2018 as the Strategic Client Director overseeing the transfer of the Mature Savings assets from L&G to ReAssure and following its successful conclusion has transferred into L&G Group where he is Group ALM Senior Manager. Bob has an MA in Mathematics from the University of Oxford, is a Specialist Member of the Institute of Risk Management and a Chartered Fellow of the Institute for Securities and Investment.

He has worked in the private and public sectors and academia and is particularly interested in economic and financial stability issues.
