William is a Principal within Mercer’s Insurance Investment Team. William is responsible for advising insurers on asset allocation, investment strategy and portfolio design, and building investment solutions for them. William joined Mercer in July 2020 from PwC, where he was a Director in the ALM and investment advisory business. Prior to that, William worked in Investment Banking for 10 years, most recently as Director of Insurance Solutions at Barclays Investment Bank.
Director of Research and Economics , McKinsey
Tera is Director of Research and Economics in McKinsey’s United Kingdom and Ireland Office, working closely with the McKinsey Global Institute. She leads McKinsey’s research on productivity, technology adoption, and government effectiveness, bringing together deep expertise and more than two decades of experience in economics, public policy, innovation, technology, and leadership, as well as ten years of experience as a management consultant focusing on corporate and business-unit strategy. Tera is a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences and a frequent author, panellist and speaker on topics ranging from economic and innovation policy to technology adoption and the future of work. She serves as a trustee of the Royal Economic Society, the National Institute of Economic and Social Research, and the United Kingdom’s Productivity Leadership Group. She is also a member of a number of expert advisory groups on economic policy and innovation issues. She was previously on the board of Innovate UK, the United Kingdom’s national innovation agency, and a member of the States of Jersey Fiscal Policy Panel. Sam Fankhauser is Professor of Climate Change Economics and Policy at the University of Oxford. Prior to this, Sam was Director of the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change at the London School of Economics, where he remains a Visiting Professor. Outside academia, Sam has served as a Non-Executive Director of CDC Group, the UK’s development finance institution, and as an inaugural member of the UK Committee on Climate Change. He is also an Associate Director at economics consultancy Vivid Economics.

Rudyard Ekindi is a director in the Global Investment Solutions team at Lyxor Asset Management, which he joined in 2017. Previously he was responsible for equities investment solutions at Unigestion from 2015 to 2016. Ekindi began his career as an actuarial consultant at JWA Actuaires, before joining the interest rate markets team at JP Morgan. Prior to that, he spent 10 years in various roles at Credit Suisse Asset Management, first in Paris, then London. Ekindi was also investment director at UK pension fund, NEST, responsible for asset allocation, risk management and manager selection from 2009 to 2013. He holds an engineering degree from the Ecole des Mines de Saint-Etienne and a master’s in financial science and insurance form the University of Lyon.

Prasun joined Aviva in October 2016 where he is responsible for investing in private assets and delivering associated P&L for Aviva UK. Currently, he focuses on investing optimally across a variety of fixed income asset classes. This involves market entry analysis into new asset classes, commercial and credit underwriting of individual private credit trades, and asset allocation insights by identifying key risk drivers. He has led teams in large insurance companies to run investment and ALM strategies. Prior to joining Aviva, he headed up ALM strategy for Phoenix, and supported several M&A transactions. Marcello Estevão is the Global Director of the World Bank Group’s Macroeconomics, Trade and Investment Global Practice (MTI). In this position, Mr. Estevão leads a large team of country economists, macroeconomists, and fiscal policy, debt, and macro-modeling experts. Ben is the ABI’s Manager for Climate Change and Open Data policy. As part of this, he leads a cross-organisational taskforce on climate change and co-ordinates the ABI’s work on data issues, including the ongoing response to the FCA’s work on Open Finance. Prior to taking up this role in 2021, Ben worked in the Director General’s office as DG Business Manager, focussing on policy and market analysis. As part of this, he was part of the project team that launched the Covid-19 Support Fund. He joined the ABI in 2015 and was previously Senior Policy Adviser for Motor and Liability – where he was responsible for the ABI’s work on automated driving, the ECJ Vnuk judgement, CMC regulation and road safety.
